Sports: Core Strength and Balance

Core strength and balance are critical for good performance in almost all sports and activities. Some sports require good balance for movement purposes, some for producing force, and some for symmetry. Regardless, preparation and proper training are essential for peak performance.

Are there sports that require high levels of core stability and low levels of dynamic flexibility? What about low core stability and high dynamic balance? Are these two variables naturally intertwined or can they be achieved independently?
